Position Overview:
The Michif Permanency Support Worker works alongside our team of delegated social workers to support creating and maintaining permanency for Metis children and youth involved in the child welfare system. The Michif Permanency Support Worker will conduct their duties in a manner that adheres to the LMO Michif Practice Model.

Primary Duties
• In collaboration with a delegated social worker the Michif Permanency Support Worker gathers information relevant to a child or youth’s needs through interviewing, observing behaviour, meeting with family members, service providers and other significant connections to the family by using a variety of strategies identified in the LMO Michif Practice Model.
• Gathering, evaluating, and implementing plans based on a child’s connection and belonging assessment.
• Supports children and youth in identifying their La Paraantii (natural support network) and reconnecting with family, cultural identity, and community. Supports the involvement of identified supports within their plan.
• Finds and identifies members of a child or youth’s extended family through the completion of genograms, etc., who would like to be connected to the child or youth’s plan, and potentially care for them
• Support the planning, preparation, coordination and facilitation of Family Circles/Family Meetings for the purpose of identifying and supporting permanency for children and youth within a child or youth’s extended family.
• Supporting the development and execution of timelines for permanency planning.
• Develops and implements issue-specific intervention plans within the LMO Michif Practice Model and in consultation with a delegated social worker.
• Participates in developing, modifying, and evaluating client plans in line with the Michif Practice Model in collaboration with a child/youth’s natural support network and case management team.
• Regularly participates in integrated case management meetings to report clients’ activities and progress.
• Supports Delegated Social Worker to create and facilitate transition plans for children and youth.
• Supports Delegated Social Worker in the completion of a child or youth’s Metis Citizenship application.
• Outlines services provided and, in consultation with a delegated social worker, provides information on and referral to other community service providers, resources and professionals as required.
• Maintains regular records and provides reports to the delegated social worker and team leader as required.
• Liaises with and/or promotes the interests of children, youth, and families with other community service providers, professionals as required.
• Acts as relief Team Assistant as required.
• Other duties as assigned or required

Qualifications:
• Diploma in the field of Human or Social Services or related field
• 2 years related experience working with peoples of Indigenous ancestry
• Knowledge of Métis history, culture, and community

Position Overview:
The primary responsibility of our Michif team is to promote the safety and well-being of Métis children, youth, and families. At Lii Michif Otipemisiwak Family and Community Services (LMO), we believe this is best achieved through a trauma-informed and culturally safe approach to practice that supports the healing journey of a child, youth, and their family. Guided by our Michif Practice Model, as the case manager, the delegated social worker holds the key to completing balanced assessments, developing and monitoring case plans, and determining and monitoring additional supports. The Delegated Social Worker also provides direct support to youth/families and works collaboratively and respectfully with youth/families, their natural supports, Elders, and a holistic team of internal and external service providers to strengthen a youth/families’ capacity to protect, care for and support their independence.

1. Duties and Responsibilities
Child Safety Screening
• Screens calls relating to child safety.
• Responds to walk-ins relating to child safety.
• Completes intake screening map as required.

Case Management
• Follows provincial practice standards and the guidelines of the LMO Michif Practice Model
• Completes balanced assessments for family and youth services.
• Works collaboratively with youth/families, their support network and multiple service providers to develop effective prevention services plans.
• Monitors and evaluates progress towards identified goals and coordinates services, completes, and monitors referrals and responsibilities of other resources and members of a youth/family’s care team.
• Provide direct one-to-one support to youth/families to support progress towards identified goals.

2. Qualifications:
Education/Certification:

Position Summary:
The Indigenous ECE Coordinator will support Indigenous children’s improved development and life outcomes by providing high-quality Indigenous early years programming to empower young children with a strong sense of identity. The Indigenous Early Years Coordinator is responsible for the development and facilitation of culturally safe early years’ drop-in program (Story Blanket). Delivery of services will focus on parent/caregiver participation and outreach for First Nations, Métis and Inuit families with children aged 0-6, while creating an inclusive environment. • The Quesnel team includes 5 Clinicians, 2 Support Workers, and an experienced and supportive Team Leader, working closely with Northern Health, the local school district, a contracted psychiatrist and other community partners to support those facing moderate to severe mental health concerns. The Operations Technologist on either the Development or Silviculture team with BC timber Sales (BCTS) uses drive and expertise to ensure a variety of operational deliverables are achieved in the planning, development and silviculture teams while balancing environmental, legislative, and interested parties’ considerations. As contract specialists, they take the lead and provide tactical support to their teams using creative solutions, strong relationships, and technical expertise. Qualifications for this role include:

The Vancouver Coastal Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) team is compassionate and collaborative, dedicated to supporting children, youth, and families. As a CYMH Clinician, you’ll play a vital role in providing direct clinical services, including intake services, assessment, treatment, suicide risk assessment, safety plans and crisis intervention for children and youth from birth to age 18 and their families. You will work closely with local Indigenous Nations, community agencies, schools, hospitals and other ministry programs to provide comprehensive care, including individual, group and family therapy. You will have the opportunity to work with a supportive and passionate team to make a meaningful positive difference in the lives of children, youth, and their families facing emotional and behavioral challenges, with a strong focus on building relationships with the Indigenous community.

Qualifications for this role include:
• Masters in Counselling, Social Work, Educational Counselling, Clinical Counselling, Clinical Psychology or Child and Youth Care or comparable graduate degree at the Master’s level in a similar subject may be considered.
o NOTE: If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.
• Minimum of one year full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.

About the Opportunity:

As a Finance Projects & Process Specialist at CLBC, you will be responsible for advancing finance systems projects and other process improvement initiatives through all phases, including envisioning, planning, execution, reporting, and implementation. Key Responsibilities:

Leads the integration of new finance systems and modules on behalf of the Finance department, including designing processes, defining requirements, performing user acceptance testing, developing training material and communications, and assessing enhancement and reporting requests
Conducts in-depth research and analysis to explore and evaluate potential options for systems design changes relating to the Finance department
Leads the day-to-day execution of finance projects, employing full-cycle project practices
Leads the identification of process inefficiencies and barriers to implementation, performing workflow and process redesign to develop effective solutions that align with overarching Finance objectives

Translates high-level financial objectives into actionable process requirements by applying a solid understanding of financial principles, and accounting standards
What you will bring:

Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Quality Management, Information Technology, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in a project execution and/or business process improvement role, ideally within a Finance department
Direct experience with the design, development, testing, and implementation of finance systems
Direct experience applying project management principles and driving financial projects forward from planning through to completion
Project Management Certification (PMP) or a Lean Six Sigma Certification is highly desirable
Chartered Professional Accountant designation (CPA) is an asset
Experience in a public sector organization is an asset
