The Fort St. John, South Peace, and Quesnel Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) teams are committed to making a meaningful impact in their communities.
• The Fort St. John team includes 6 Clinicians and an experienced and supportive Team Leader, collaborating with Northern Health, the local school district, a contracted psychiatrist and other community partners to provide mental health supports for children, youth, and families facing moderate to severe mental health concerns. Known for their flexibility, creativity, and collaboration, this team welcomes new members warmly and provides training and mentorship, ensuring they feel supported as they grow in their roles.
• The South Peace team consists of 1 Team Leader with 6 Clinicians based in Dawson Creek and 1 Clinician based in Chetwynd. This team works closely with a contracted psychiatrist and was included as one of the recently announced Pathway to Hope locations. The team is excited to be working collaboratively to establish an Integrated Child and Youth team in partnership with the school district, Health Authority, and local Indigenous communities.
• The Quesnel team includes 5 Clinicians, 2 Support Workers, and an experienced and supportive Team Leader, working closely with Northern Health, the local school district, a contracted psychiatrist and other community partners to support those facing moderate to severe mental health concerns. The team is known for its flexibility, creativity, and collaborative spirit and welcomes new members warmly, providing training and mentorship to ensure they feel supported as they grow in their roles.
As a Clinician, you will play a key role in supporting positive mental health outcomes by providing direct services such as assessments, individual and group treatment and related education to local children, youth, and their families impacted by mental health challenges. You’ll also build strong relationships with local partners to deliver coordinated and effective care.
There are six (6) positions across (3) teams to apply on, each could be performed by Social Program Officer, Nurse, or Licensed Psychologist.
