The Ministry of Digital Government’s mission is to enable digital transformation at Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) to serve Métis citizens more effectively. The global pandemic has accentuated the need to develop a digital transformation strategy to ensure MNBC’s technology infrastructure is resilient and accessible. Modernizing MNBC’s technology platform will enable staff to focus more time on serving, supporting, and growing programs and services available to Métis community in BC.

- Ensuring Métis culture is at the forefront when deploying digital tools, specifically around language, culture, and heritage
- Enabling and championing a culture of continuous change at MNBC
- Working with the IT Department to design a decentralized hybrid-cloud infrastructure that is more accessible and resilient to adverse events
