Our Mandate
The Ministry of Youth serves Métis youth between the ages of 15 and 30 in British Columbia. The Ministry of Youth aims to revitalize and strengthen Métis culture and community by providing Métis youth with culturally relevant education, life skills, programs, and events. Through these initiatives, the Ministry of Youth aims to foster a deep sense of connection, pride, and engagement among Métis youth while equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to lead fulfilling and empowered lives as Métis citizens.
The Ministry of Youth has four focus areas:
- Connection to Métis Culture and Languages
- Youth Governance
- Métis Youth Wellness and Healing
- Life Skills, Training, and Employment

Clearing the Path Youth Survey
Métis youth across British Columbia are invited to share their voices through Clearing the Path, a youth survey led by the MNBC Ministry of Youth in partnership with the University of British Columbia Okanagan.
