The Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services team is an established group committed to providing essential mental health services to young people involved in the justice system. This team works closely with probation services, community agencies, contracted service providers and Youth Custody Services staff to deliver Court-ordered assessments and treatments. In this role, you will provide independent psychological assessments for young people in the justice system, whether in the community or custody. You'll work with multi-disciplinary teams in specialized counselling and therapy, supervise junior psychologists and students and collaborate on research projects. Your work will be crucial in shaping assessment and treatment services, ultimately supporting the mental health and rehabilitation of young people in the justice system.

Qualifications for this role include:
• Ph. D. in Clinical Psychology and registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC). (Applicants with a Ph. D. and eligible for registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC) may be considered for appointment at a lower classification. As a condition of continued employment, such an appointee is required to become registered as a Licensed Psychologist.)
