The Ta Saantii Mamawapowuk Health Gatherings seek to foster Métis allies and champions within Health Authority staff to promote better respect, awareness, and support for Métis accessing the healthcare system. These gatherings bring together Métis Citizens, Health Authority staff, and MNBC Leadership for relationship-building and discussions which are grounded in Métis values.
Experiential Learning Miyomahcihô: The Person is in Good Health is a collaborative initiative involving Métis Knowledge Carrier Lisa Shepherd, Fraser Health, and MNBC. This program offers a unique educational approach that integrates traditional Métis knowledge and practices with contemporary learning methods. Emphasizing hands-on experiences and cultural immersion it allows learners to connect deeply with Métis values through the perspective of a Métis Nation BC Citizen.
