Culture Talks: Cheryl Troupe

The Amelia Douglas Institute (ADI) will be hosting a virtual talk with Métis author and historian Cheryl Troupe on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 5:00 pm (PST). Cheryl will be sharing some of her research on the roles of Metis women in communities and families. This workshop is part of the Metis Culture Talk series and will take place via Zoom.

Join us for an opportunity to learn about extreme heat, including response and preparedness tips on how to keep cool and checking in on others to help individuals and their families, friends, and communities stay safe during an extreme heat event. Learn more about extreme heat preparedness, risk reduction and mitigation initiatives across B.C., and to connect with other community members on perspectives and experiences as it relates to our individual and collective resilience to extreme heat.
