Join The Amelia Douglas Institute and MNBC's Ministry of Culture, Heritage, and Language for a virtual evening of conversation and connection with White Standing Buffalo / Elder Tom McCallum, a Northern Michif speaker, Knowledge Carrier, and Sundance Lodge Keeper from île-à-la-Crosse, Saskatchewan.
This Métis Culture Talks session will be a facilitated conversation with Elder Tom where he will share stories, teachings, and insights about the Northern Michif language and its place in Métis life and culture. Whether you are just beginning your language learning journey or are seeking to deepen your understanding of Métis culture, this session offers a meaningful chance to hear directly from a Knowledge Carrier and language speaker.
This is a space for reflection, learning, and listening. We look forward to sharing it with you.
The session will take place over Zoom on:
Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 6pm-7pm (PST)
The link to this workshop will be sent out to registrants the day before the event. If you did not receive an email, please check your spam/junk folder.
