Celebrate Métis Culture at the Chilliwack Mural Festival

We are excited to invite all Métis citizens in the Fraser Valley to join us at the Chilliwack Mural Festival from August 15-17! Ask the Kihtêyak (Elders)

About The Event

Ask the Elders is a two-day event that brings Métis youth, elders and knowledge carriers across British Columbia in one (virtual) circle to share stories, and learn about cultural traditions around healing and well-being from a Métis perspective.

As we aim to promote cultural revitalization and cultural wellness, this experience does so by bringing youth and Elders together. Over the course of these two days, youth will engage and experience virtually: cultural workshops, an Elder interview panel and teachings about plant medicines.
