The MNBC Board of Directors often receives requests from Chartered Communities for support through Board Strategic Priority Funds. For consistency and transparency, a structured process to support request submission and evaluation is now in place. Please read below for more details on each funding stream and reach out to the email indicated if you have any questions.
Non-Event Funding Requests
Emergent or unexpected needs fall under this category. Some examples include emergency infrastructure/equipment needs, natural disaster supports, community health/wellness emergencies, or unexpected cultural/spiritual/ceremonial events.*
Application Process
Please email communityfinance@mnbc.ca with a brief description of the situation for initial assessment.
Application Timelines
There are no deadlines - applications for this type of funding will be accepted throughout the year.
*Requests for funding to support the office infrastructure should also follow the above process. Community Finance will review the initial submission before passing it along to the Ministry of Housing for follow-up.
