Ministry of Education Celebrates Over 1000 Enrolments in Métis Family Connections – Early Years

Métis Family Connections – Early Years was developed by Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) for families with Métis children birth to 8 years. The program is focused on helping families build a network of support that provides children with opportunities for early learning and childhood development. Métis Family Connections – Early Years Navigators assist families to access programs and services that are available in their region and connect them to community and culture.

Since the program launched in April 2019, the program has surpassed 1000 enrollments in over 7 Regions across British Columbia.

The Ministry of Education would like to give special thanks to all who have trusted in us and joined our Métis Family Connections – Early Years family. Helping families build a network of support creates amazing opportunities for early learning and childhood development. We are eager to continue growing alongside our families.

By enrolling in Métis Family Connections - Early Years, families can learn more about Métis identity and the Métis Nation, connect with other Métis families, attend community events and gatherings, receive Métis cultural resources, and have support through each stage of childhood development. Our Métis Family Connections – Early Years Navigators are positioned throughout the province, assisting families in obtaining the supports and services that are locally available to them.
