Feature your art and creations online with MNBC’s Métis Trading Post!
We are developing an application process to select the first group of Métis artists, creators, and business owners to be featured on the new website. Whether rooted in traditional techniques or reimagined through a modern lens, our goal is to have the Trading Post be a showcase of authentic Métis art, music, literature, and more in B.C.
What the renewed Trading Post will offer:
- An improved e-commerce platform, that enhances awareness and increases market accessibility of authentic Métis art and hand-made goods.
- Storage, shipping & warehouse logistics, inventory management, orders and fulfillment, licensing, fees and management of the online store.
- Increased awareness and exposure of B.C. Métis art/artists and Métis culture through targeted marketing campaigns.
- Opportunity for artists with one-of-a-kind or larger pieces to be displayed in a virtual gallery linking to the artist’s website and social media platforms at no cost. (Buyers will contact the artist directly for sales transactions).
- Increased market access opportunities to international buyers who want verified, authenticated Indigenous art.
If you or someone you know creates art or handmade goods and would like to be included, please see the overview document below for further information and instructions.
