Red Dress Campaign

Hello,
My name is Tammy Meise and, I am a proud Metis woman reaching out on behalf of the Prince George Red Dress Non-profit society. I sit on the board as President.
We would like to personally invite the Metis Nation to this public event. We would like to also like to invite someone to be a guest speaker representing all Metis peoples as this issue effects the Metis people as well and would like to have representation for Metis peoples.
We gather together at the MMIWG monument located at highway 16 & Ferry Ave for the stand -in. This is where we hold our red dress to honor those that have been taken. Holding space for those that have been affected. When we do this give a voice and bring awareness. From there we take the dresses to the park and hang amongst the trees where the event takes place. We have guest speakers and families, entertainment and food/refreshments. It would be an honor to have someone present to represent our Metis people.
