Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) is seeking applications for the Métis Justice Committee. This volunteer committee will play an essential role in advising the Minister of Justice and Legal Affairs on the development and delivery of trauma-informed, dignity-based, low-barrier, and intersectional Métis-specific justice services and programs for Métis Citizens and self-identified Métis people across B.C.
The Committee will also provide strategic guidance on revitalizing and strengthening the MNBC Métis Justice System and the implementation of the Métis Justice Strategy.
Who We’re Looking For:
- Métis Citizens with lived experience with the justice system
- Métis Citizens with professional experience in the justice sector (e.g. policing, corrections, youth justice, mediation, restorative justice, advocacy etc.)
- Métis Citizens from both rural and urban communities across B.C.
