Join us for an exciting and informative campus tour event at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) in Kamloops, situated on the traditional and unceded Secwépemc (Shuswap) territory

Whether you're a high school student exploring your college options or simply curious about post-secondary life, the MY TRU Experience is the perfect opportunity for you to dive into the world of higher education.

Location: Thompson Rivers University (TRU), Kamloops, BC

*If you are travelling outside of Region 3, you must be available to travel on March 23, 2026

About MY TRU

As an attendee, you will:
- Take part in guided tours and experience life at TRU.
- Explore and engage with various faculties and programs such as nursing, trades, veterinary science and more!
- Learn about funding options and supports available for Métis students.
- Participate in hands-on workshops.
- Connect with Métis youth and TRU Indigenous alumni to get the inside scoop on what university life really entails.
- Experience cultural activities like the drum group and jigging and learn from Métis Elders.
- Get a real feel for the campus environment.
- Gather helpful resources to navigate your college journey.
- Network, connect, and explore post-secondary education in a culturally safe setting.
This event is for:
- MNBC Citizens and self-identifying Métis
- Between the ages of 15-30, living in BC
- Those interested in exploring post-secondary education at TRU
*Preference will be given to MNBC citizens living in Region 3 (Thompson Okanagan region).
