Thank you for your interest in the Chartered Community Project Proposal process. MNBC is no longer accepting Round 1 Chartered Community Project Proposals. Details on Round 2 funding will be announced at a later date.
MNBC held an information session on April 12, 2024, where staff provided an overview of the application process. A link to the information session recording can be found below
How It Works:
MNBC’s evaluation process for Chartered Community Project Proposals considers several key factors to ensure that proposed projects align with MNBC’s mission and goals. The evaluation of Chartered Community Project Proposals considers alignment with MNBC’s 2023-2027 Strategic Plan, community impact and needs, and the project’s feasibility.
Chartered Communities are also required to submit a proposed budget and a resolution of support for the project application from their Chartered Community Board of Directors. Applicants are encouraged to download the Application Checklist to ensure they have included all required documentation prior to submitting their application.
Each application will undergo a thorough evaluation process by our review committee. Applications will then be passed onto MNBC’s Board of Directors for final review and prioritization.
Following final decisions from the Board of Directors, MNBC’s Ministry of Community Services will inform successful Chartered Communities when they can expect to receive funding.
Additionally, the Ministry of Community Services will reach out to unsuccessful Chartered Communities to provide Board of Director feedback regarding their applications.
