I am a writer of non-fiction history and I write about the fur trade years, generally in BC but not always. I have two books out right now:
The HBC Brigades: Culture, Conflict, and Perilous Journeys of the Fur Trade [Ronsdale Press, 2024], and
The York Factory Express: Fort Vancouver to Hudson Bay, 1826-1849 [also Ronsdale Press]

Business Description
In writing my non-fiction history books, I access the journals of fur traders and fur trade forts to be found in the BC Archives, and in the Hudson's Bay Company Archives. There are also other sources for information. They are published by traditional press, and are generally available both in Canada and in the Pacific Northwest of the United States. I am especially interested in the traditions of the Métis paddlers, and of course, of the HBC gentlemen, and their relationships with each other and with the First Nations people that surrounded them.
