Avalily Permaculture and The Earthskills Institute operates an urban homestead in Invermere complete with chickens, annual and perennial food and medicine gardens, a greenhouse, compost, food forest, a pond, rainwater collection and irrigation, and a rooftop bee hives. We offer consulting and design services for developing resilient, self-sufficient properties and projects that are healthy and regenerative for both people and nature, and align with traditional Indigenous values. We are passionate educators, and offer a number of courses, custom education programs, and educational resources for adults and kids, and are constantly developing more. We focus on teaching knowledge and skills for self-sufficiency, survivalism, growing/raising food, foraging, understanding ecology, permaculture, and how traditional indigenous knowledge fits in. We operate across western Canada, offering both online and in-person services.
