About Ta Saantii Mamawapowuk
The Ta Saantii Mamawapowuk Health Gatherings seek to foster Métis allies and champions within Health Authority staff to promote better respect, awareness, and support for Métis accessing the healthcare system. These gatherings bring together Métis Citizens, Health Authority staff, and MNBC Leadership for relationship-building and discussions which are grounded in Métis values. These partnerships are crucial to the development and implementation of culturally safe, self-determined processes for Métis Citizens in the health system, a need identified by MNBC ‘s Métis Public Health Surveillance Program, Taanishi Kiiya?
