Turtle Island Power Inc. is a British Columbia clean energy company developing the Kootenay Green Hydrogen Project—a majority Indigenous-owned initiative to produce and deliver green hydrogen for industry and transportation across the Kootenay region and beyond.
The company is planning a modern 100 MW indoor green hydrogen production facility at Blewett, near Nelson, on Kootenay River waterfront land. Using clean electricity and treated process water, the plant will separate water into hydrogen through electrolysis. The hydrogen will then be compressed, stored, and delivered by specialized transport to customers who need a practical alternative to diesel and other fossil fuels.
