Prevention of Violence Week

During Prevention of Violence Week, we acknowledge the disproportionate impacts of gender-based violence on Métis women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people. Violence affects all parts of who we are. It impacts individuals, families, communities, and future generations.

Ending gender-based violence is a collective responsibility. MNBC is committed to promoting safety and healing throughout Métis communities. We are advocating for culturally safe, trauma-informed, and Métis-specific approaches.

If you or someone you know is experiencing gender-based violence, you are not alone. Please consider accessing the resources below to find support.
