Join us for a virtual evening of conversation centered around The Amelia Douglas Institute’s latest exhibition Lii Buflo: A Métis Way of Life.

Lii Buflo is a travelling exhibition developed in 2022 by Elk Island National Park, the Arts and Heritage Foundation of St. Albert, and a Métis advisory committee. It explores the historic and continuing relationships and cultural ties between the Métis people and the buffalo.

This virtual exhibition talk will provide an opportunity to learn more about the exhibition and its creation, and it will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the process of bringing it to BC. The talk will feature:

  • Jesse Gouchey - the artist who created the artwork for the exhibition
  • Celina Loyer - a member of the Métis advisory committee and part of the team at the Musée Héritage Museum in St. Albert
  • Thomas Long - the Manager of the Amelia Douglas Institute

This is open to Métis in BC only.
