Chris Harris - Artist

I am a third generation Artist. I was mostly raised by my grandmother, a Northern Prairies Cree woman who after leaving a residential school in grade 2, could not read so she often asked me to read the Bible to her. My brother and I slept in bed with her during our early childhood. Although she passed away when I was twelve, she is always a part of me and how I see the world. My art is often abstract or political. I also am a Sculptor and much of my commercial sculpture can be found around Vancouver. As a writer I had a series of short prose published called "How to Paint".
