Hello my name is Christopher Studney and I am running for regional director of region 5. I was born and raised in Prince George. I am a business owner and a father. I am a descendant of Urbain Delorme of St Francois Xavier MB. There is a strong desire for a change of leadership in region 5.
Campaign Platform
Previous board member of the Prince George Community Association, successful business owner.
Support funding for in-person mental health counseling, including opening a Metis informed drug and alcohol treatment centre
Advocate for region 5 Metis housing developments to be a high priority, focusing on new builds, offering below market rental rates with built in maintenance fees, rent to own initiatives and reserving units for post secondary students
Ensure the ministry of economic development starts to consult with a collaborate with Metis business owners. Going forward there will be calls of interest to the business directory prior to appointing members of the Metis business advisory committee.
