Taanishi, l have lived in Campbell River for three years, moving from Victoria and have been exploring my Metis heritage. My family names include Anderson, McKay and Dumont. I’ve engaged in jigging, beading, weaving, sewing capotes and more. I am dedicated to enhancing my Michif language skills.

Enhance communications with Metis women to identify their needs and priorities, gather relevant information from MNBC and effectively present Metis women’s concerns to the council.

Promote regional community development by supporting projects, ensuring Metis women are informed and empowered to participate in available initiatives.

Foster leadership within Metis women’s communities by encouraging participation in leadership roles, offering mentorship opportunities and supporting initiatives that empower women to lead.
