Land and Resource Coordinator
$69,969.42 - $89,774.32 annually
The Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship is accountable for integrated land and natural resource management. The Land Use Planning and Cumulative Effects Division works in partnership with First Nation governments to modernize land use planning with community, stakeholders and public input.
The Land and Resource Coordinator supports the development of management solutions to complex water, land, and resource stewardship issues and facilitates the implementation of initiatives that require working with diverse teams and cross-sector coordination.

Qualifications for this role include:
• Bachelor’s degree, or higher in the natural resource field or equivalent as recognized by the relevant association, and two (2) or more years of related experience.
• Registered, or immediately eligible for registration, as a fully licensed professional with the British Columbia professional association as required by the specialty area (i.e. Association of Forest Professionals, Institute of Agrologists, Engineers and Geoscientists BC (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of the Province of British Columbia)).
• Experience managing projects or leading a component of a major project or initiative.
• Experience working collaboratively with Indigenous groups or governments.
• Must possess and maintain a valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent.
• Experience with conflict and dispute resolution principles and practices.
Preference may be given to those with:
• Experience in working on land, water and/or resource stewardship planning and/or policy initiatives.
• Experience in facilitating groups whose members hold varying interests, in a land and/or water stewardship context.
• Experience in contract management.
