MNBC is calling on its Citizens for expressions of interest in filling the position of Senator representing the Thompson- Okanagan - Region 3. Nominations are open effective this date and will close on September 15, 2022.
As per Article 5, sub-article 5.1 of the Senate Act:
MNBC is required to submit a call for applications for Citizens interested in serving as a Senator in the Senate. (1 Position Open)

Senate Composition:
Each of the seven Regional Governance Councils appoints a highly respected individual to be their representative in the Senate. The Senate is the non-political arm of the MNBC.
Criteria:
As per Article 5.2 of the MNBC Senate Act, applicants are required to submit:
- Biography (Relevant information);
- Proof of Age – must be at least 55 years of age;
- Copy of their MNBC Citizenship card;
- A Criminal Record Check for volunteers;
- Nomination Form for Senate Vacancy
Nomination forms must be completed by a Métis Citizen who holds an MNBC citizenship card.

Senate application documents are to be submitted to the Region 3 Thompson-Okanagan Regional Governance Council (RGC), care of the MNBC Legislative and Policy Analyst, John Bieker by email to jbieker@mnbc.ca or by mail as undernoted.
