Today, the Métis National Council delegation departs to meet with Pope Francis at the Vatican. The delegation is composed of Survivors, Elders, youth, and community members. On March 28th a private audience between Pope Francis and the Métis National Council will be held, with the hopes that Pope Francis will gain a better understanding of the legacy of residential schools and its impact on the Métis Nation.
