MNBC Announces Additional Funding of $1,400,000 for MNBC’s Skills Training Programs

Surrey, BC (January 18, 2022) – Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) is pleased to announce that MNBC has secured additional funding of $1,400,000 for MNBC’s Skills Training programs from the previously announced $5,700,000 in October 2021, bringing the total amount of funding to $7,100,000 million for fiscal year 2021-2022, from the Province of BC.

This funding further aids MNBC’s Skills Training, Employment, & Post Secondary (STEPS) programs to deliver much needed skills training to Métis people in BC, leading to better employability rates and earning ability. “Not only do the abundance of programs offered through STEPS provide the required skills and training for the job, but also the necessary work experience, which will lead to a better future for yourself and your family”, says Dean Gladue, MNBC’s Minister of Employment and Skills Training.
