
Métis Nation BC is at the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, in New York. MNBC leaders, along with MNC and other Métis leaders across the homeland, are in New York representing Métis people and issues important to them . The special theme of this gathering is on indigenous peoples, human health, planetary and territorial health, and climate change: a rights based approach.
MNC governing members attendance in this forum is a continuation of the advocacy being done on behalf of all Métis people, and is a show of unified nation building across the homeland.
MNBC participants include: Lissa Smith, President, Minister of Justice, Intergovernmental Affairs and Veterans; Walter Mineault, Vice President, Minister of Housing and Homelessness and Métis Rights; Paulette Flamond, Minister of Employment and Training, Post Secondary Education; and Colette Trudeau, CEO.
