Métis Nation British Columbia Extends Gratitude to Marc Miller

Today, we take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing Minister of Crown Indigenous Relations, Marc Miller. Over the past years, Minister Miller has worked diligently to promote meaningful reconciliation and foster a better relationship between the Canadian government and Indigenous communities across the nation, including the Métis Nation.

Under Minister Miller's tenure, significant progress has been made in advancing the rights and recognition of Indigenous peoples in Canada. His dedication to engaging with Indigenous communities, listening to their concerns, and taking concrete actions to address historical injustices has been commendable.

Métis Nation British Columbia acknowledges Minister Miller's tireless efforts in working towards a more equitable and inclusive future for all Canadians. His commitment to building a stronger relationship with our Nation has been evident, and we thank him for his contributions to the cause of Indigenous rights and self-determination.

As we bid farewell to Minister Marc Miller, we also look forward to fostering a genuine working relationship with the newly appointed Minister of Crown Indigenous Relations, Gary Anandasangaree. We extend a warm welcome to Minister Anandasangaree and express our eagerness to collaborate on matters vital to the Métis Nation's well-being and prosperity.

We are optimistic that Minister Anandasangaree's expertise, experience, and passion will further strengthen the government's commitment to reconciliation and meaningful engagement with our communities. Together, we can forge a path towards a better future where the rights, culture, and contributions of the Métis Nation are fully recognized and respected.

Métis Nation British Columbia is ready to engage constructively with Minister Anandasangaree, his team, and the Canadian government to continue building a more inclusive, just, and prosperous Canada.

Let us move forward together on the journey of reconciliation, understanding, and mutual respect.
