MNBC Ministry of Education is pleased to introduce “Aansaamb aen kiskayhtaamaahk - Learning Together”(Heritage Michif, translated by Norman Fleury). This learning guide and the accompanying resources are intended to support both Métis and non-Métis early learning and child care professionals to integrate Métis content and pedagogy into their work with young children. Our intent is to promote learning environments in which Métis culture is recognized and celebrated.
An accompanying workshop will be available Fall 2023. This workshop will further support early learning and child care professionals to incorporate these Métis specific teachings into programming.
The full resource kit, professional learning guide, and individual items will be hand delivered and mailed to Child Care Resource and Referral centres, Strong Starts and Aboriginal Head Starts across the province this summer. Additionally, the full kit will soon be available for purchase through MNBC’s online store – The Trading Post.
