The government recognizes the need for a sustained, meaningful, and trust-based approach to the co-development of new legislation with First Nations, Métis and Inuit Peoples in BC. The Ministry is keen to partner with the Métis Nation BC and Métis Citizens to explore policy ideas that may align with Métis priorities and rights under UNDRIP through a proposed new Health Information Management Act.

The BC government would like to consult with MNBC Citizens to hear their perspective on upcoming legislation aimed at reducing barriers to health information. A $50 honorarium will be provided to attendees.
