This is a 2-hour province-wide town hall to seek community input for Health Canada's Substance Use and Addictions Program grant that is due November 22nd, 2023.
For this 2-hour session, we will ask questions on what funding priority we should pursue and project ideas directly from Community members.
There are 4 funding priorities we could do:
- Funding priority #1 - Supporting and enhancing the role of People with Lived and Living Experience (PWLLE) within organizations that address substance use across the comprehensive continuum of care
- Funding priority #2 - Services and programs that target post-treatment aftercare and transition back into the community
- Funding priority #3 - Addressing alcohol use disorder
- Funding Priority #4 - Addressing adult tobacco cessation
Our hope after the 2-hour town hall is to determine which funding priority to pursue, what are the service gaps, and what is needed in our communities in regard to substance use and addiction.
