About the Indigenous Rookie League
Métis Nation BC is partnering with the Jays Care Foundation, the charitable arm of the Toronto Blue Jays, to launch the Indigenous Rookie League (IRL).
This fully funded slo-pitch baseball league will be the first of its kind in British Columbia, joining 14 other leagues across Canada. The IRL is scheduled to kick-off June 2026 (exact dates TBD) and offers an incredible opportunity for players ages 12 to 18 to come together, develop leadership skills, and build on culture and connections.
