Cassidy attended Vancouver Island University from September 2010 until graduation in June 2014 obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a First Nations Studies Major and a Minor in History.
Upon completion of her degree, Cassidy was accepted into the Aboriginal Youth Internship Program as a year 8 intern. She currently works as a Junior Policy Analyst at the BC Ministry of Environment. Following her time at the Ministry of Environment she will continue to work as an Aboriginal Youth Intern placed with an Aboriginal Organization doing important work such as engaging communities, developing policies and programs, managing projects and conducting research.
Cassidy is currently studying and preparing to write the Law Schools Admissions Test (LSAT) in June 2015 and will be applying to attend law school in September 2016. Her final career goal is to work with Aboriginal communities as a lawyer practicing Aboriginal rights, land claims, consultations, and negotiations.
