These are two Committees that do not exclusively have Board of Director membership; therefore, citizen involvement is needed.

ENVIRONMENT ADVISORY COMMITTEE

MNBC is seeking environmental/policy minded citizens with a passion for promoting the conservation and protection of the land, environment, and natural resources in British Columbia through responsible stewardship guided by Métis values and traditional knowledge to fill positions on our Environment Advisory Committee (EAC). The EAC is advisory in nature and will assist in the development of policies, and pursue relationships with partners, relating to issues concerning environmental protection, conservation, and stewardship.

Terms of Reference

For consideration, please forward a BIO and CV no later than April 30, 2021 to:  Leona Shaw, Senior Director of Environmental Protection.

  • Preference will be given to the makeup of a ‘balanced’ committee of women, youth, Elders and those identifying as LGBTQ2+.
  • Meetings will be held on weekdays during office hours between 8:30am – 4:30pm PST

MÉTIS BUSINESS ADVISORY COMMITTEE

MNBC is seeking business/entrepreneur-minded citizens with a background in industry, agriculture, social enterprise, arts & culture and the business management sector to fill positions on our Business Advisory Committee. 

Terms of Reference

For consideration, please forward a BIO with CV no later than April 30, 2021 to:  Paul Pasco, Senior Advisor Economic Development/Natural Resources.

  • Preference will be given to the makeup of a ‘balanced’ committee of women, youth, Elders and those identifying as LGBTQ2+.
