B.C. Declares a State of Emergency Due to Record-breaking Floods

Many communities in the Fraser Valley, and further east, are still experiencing severe flooding and other emergenciesThe unexpected amount of rain that has poured into the Province within a few days, has overwhelmed small rivers and creeks, causing extreme flooding. The Province has been working with local communities and emergency personnel to make sure people are receiving help.

MNBC would like to share the following resources with community members found in the Fraser Valley:

Abbotsford evacuees can find help at the emergency support services reception centre located at the Fraser Valley Trade and Exhibition Centre (Tradex), 1190 Cornell Street, or at Chilliwack Senior Secondary School, 46363 Yale Road.

Kindness Chain Chilliwack is collecting groceries for people who are affected by the flooding in Chilliwack. The group has made two grocery collection centers one each side of Chilliwack for the convenience of donors.  Kindness Chain Chilliwack Association

Following are the collection centers addresses/ they are our volunteer’s residents so please drop the groceries donation at front door and our volunteers will put store them in garage:
