Attention Members 

Vermillion Forks Métis Association welcomes its members and any new interested members to attend the 2020 Annual General Meeting and Elections!

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to the Societies Act of British Columbia (the “Act”) and the Bylaws of the Society, that the 2020 Annual General Meeting of the Society will be held at the noted date and time. Nominations are open for all Board positions

Please join us:

February 19, 2020 
Social at 6pm & AGM at 7pm.
Light snacks and refreshments provided.

EVENT NOTICE


Volunteer Income Tax Program
We will be hosting a volunteer Income Tax Program this year at our office by appointment on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10am – 3pm, with a half hour lunch break from March 2, 2020 to December 30, 2020. 

As Community Volunteer Income Tax Program Volunteer, we are not expected to answer complex tax questions. If taxpayer needs information beyond our expertise, have them call Canada.ca/taxes or 1-800-959-8281.
 
The Community Volunteer Income Tax program does not provide training or support for complex tax situations and as such , volunteers should not complete returns with the following;  self employed income, business or rental income and expenses, investment income over $1000, capital gains or losses, foreign property, bankrupt individuals in the year of bankruptcy (or the year prior, if that return has not been filed, deceased individuals

4 person                                                $50,000
5 persons                                          $52,500 plus, $2500 for each additional person
 
Family size includes an individual, or a couple, and their dependants.

The classes have been going really well with lots of fun to be had! We encourage everyone to drop in and try it out. No pressure to dance the whole time, just come be part of our lovely community!

ISPARC Hosting Application is officially OPEN!

Are you interested in hosting a youth sport camp or coaching clinic for your community? From now until February 28th, please find the time to take 5-10 minutes to fill out this application to request an ISPARC SRPA (Sport, Recreation, & Physical Activity) event: https://aboriginalsportbc.wufoo.com/forms/zwjgpqu0y8s8at/

We are accepting applications for events that will take place between April 1st-June 30th 2020. As we are giving all potential applicants three weeks to get their requests in, we will unfortunately not be able to support any late applications this quarter.  The hard deadline is Friday, February 28th at 5PM.
