Vernon District Métis Association is holding its 2019 AGM on Tuesday, November 19th at 6:00 pm.

It will be held at their office downstairs in the People Place.

Nominations are open for Treasurer and a Youth Representative.

Notice of South Okanagan Similkameen Annual General Meeting

November 16, 2019, held at the Kinsmen CPR Station,

216 Hastings Avenue, Penticton, Meeting Room A upstairs.

Time: 1:30 pm – 4:00pm

Election of Board Members for 2019/2020.

Members of the Board must be MNBC citizens in good standing and reside in the geographical area of SOSMA. SOSMA Bylaws state that the Board shall be comprised of a minimum of four members consisting of a President, Vice president, Secretary, Treasurer, and may include a Youth Rep and a Woman’s Rep. Other positions may be added as required. Interested MNBC Citizens of SOSMA Chartered Community can contact the present Board via email for a description of what each position entails at oksimilkameencc@mnbc.ca. Waceya Métis Association is holding its 2019 Special General Meeting on Monday, December 9 at 7 PM. 

Where: Fire Place Room at Douglas Community Centre, 20550 Douglas Cr., Langley BC

Special Resolution -
THAT the provisions and regulations contained in the document submitted to this meeting hereof be approved and adopted as the Constitution of Waceya Métis Society in substitution for and to the exclusion of all existing  clauses thereof."Waceya Métis Society must update their current constitution to be compliant with the existing MNBC constitution. Pursuant to Part 3.12 of the current by-laws of Waceya Métis Society the Directors are convening a Special General Meeting of the Society for the purpose of adopting a new constitution. 

Open to all registered members of the Waceya Métis Society.

Be sure to bring your MNBC citizenship card in order to validate your right to vote.

Fun for the Whole Family!

We have made some slight changes to the monthly jigging class schedule. We are now running two classes.

One family class and another for adults and teens.

See the attached poster for details. We are hoping to get more community involvement in these classes.
