Tri-River Métis Society AGM and Elections update
Posted by Métis Nation BC on
Tri-River Métis Society hosted their Annual General Meeting and Elections at the Old Church Hall on Friday, April 27, 2018.
Special guests from Métis Nation BC in attendance were that of President Clara Morin Dal Col, North West Regional Director Susie Hooper, Regional Women's Representative Alicia Fernando and MNBC staff.
It is with great sadness that Kim Hodgson has stepped down as the President of Tri-River Métis Society. Kim recently resigned her position as president so to move on to other endeavours. Being one of the founding members of Tri-River, Kim has been an integral member since signing on with MNBC in 2003. She was the President for many years and was elected Northwest Regional Director of MNBC from 2010-2012. Kim sat on many committees and made many valuable contributions through her community involvement throughout the years.
We thank Kim for her years of service and wish her the very best on her new journey. We look forward to having her help facilitate future cultural workshops in the northwest region.
Thank you to Lennette McLean, Tri-River Board Member for putting her name forward as the new president for Tri-River. Lennette was acclaimed as president. Congratulations to Lennette and all the board members as they move forward in these exciting times for the Métis in BC and our Nation.
A big thank you to Marilyn Hooper, who worked diligently in the kitchen and put on a wonderful turkey and ham dinner with all the trimmings. Thank you as well to our guests President Clara Morin-DalCol and CEO Dale Drown for attending and providing us all with updates.
