Three Meetings in Three Days in the Northwest

MNBC President Clara Morin Dal Col, Regional Director for the Northwest, Susie Hooper, and MNBC staff joined the Chartered Community leadership and members in Terrace, Prince Rupert and Smithers this past weekend (April 21-23) for various events. Travelling from community to community over the course of three days attending the AGM's of the Tri-River Métis Association and the Northwest BC Métis Association and the cultural gathering and potluck BBQ of Prince Rupert & District Métis Society; showing support to the communities and presenting on the “History of the Métis in BC”.
“Three excellent meeting in three days provided us with a great opportunity to meet Citizens and Métis Community members in the Northwest,” said President Morin Dal Col. “I really enjoyed the many conversations I had with members and I want to thank each of the communities for the lovely potluck dinners.”
The President added, “Congratulations to the re-elected members of the Chartered Communities and it was so great to see new members stepping forward as well to serve their communities.”
There was a tremendous show of support in the numbers of members who came out to support their respective communities and MNBC Representatives and Staff were warmly welcomed to each meeting and event.
Regional Director Susie Hooper commented "It was a whirl wind road trip, traveling over 700 kms to attend AGM's for Northwest BC Metis, Prince Rupert & District Metis, and Tri River". "I am very happy that President Clara Morin Dal Col, CEO Dale Drown and MNBC Métis Historian Extraordinaire Brodie Douglas were able to attend these AGM's with me". "Lots of questions were asked and net working done". "The dinners that all 3 communities prepared were delicious". "Thank you to all that came out".
The Northwest consists of 3 Métis Nation BC Chartered Communities who repesent the grass roots Métis people in their community for their respective region.
