Métis and Very Proud!

After her family's pursuit and tireless efforts, and the very hard work, persistence, and dedication by the MNBC Registry staff on this file for the past number of years , Hillary, has finally established her identity as a young and very proud Métis Citizen.

President Morin Dal Col welcomed young Hillary as a new Metis Citizen to the Provincial MNBC office for a special honouring ceremony where young Hillary was sashed and gifted by the President and greeted by MNBC staff while family and friends stood proudly by and witnessed.

"It gives me great pride as our Nation's President to honour and welcome Hilary as a new Métis citizen".  "The future of our Nation is truly in the hands of our young people and it is such a great occasion when we can honour them in this way" said MNBC President Morin Dal Col.


There are nearly 70,000 self identified Métis people in the province of British Columbia.  Out of those 70,000, nearly 16,000 are MNBC Provincially registered Métis Citizens.
