Surrey, BC (November 4, 2016) - Excellent First Meeting Between the New Parliamentary Secretary and the President of MNBC

The new Parliamentary Secretary for Métis Relations Marc Dalton and MNBC President Clara Morin Dal Col had an excellent first meeting today at MNBC Provincial Offices discussing numerous important matters for Métis including children and families, education and health. A number of other subjects were also discussed. It was the first meeting between the two since Mr. Dalton (MLA for Maple Ridge - Mission) was appointed to the new role by Premier Christy Clark last month.

“Having a Parliamentary Secretary for Métis Relations is a first for British Columbia, and it is especially meaningful given Mr. Dalton’s Métis roots and the very good working relationship that MNBC already has with both him and John Rustad, the Minister for Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation.” said President Morin Dal Col.
