2021 AGM Announcement
The MNBC 2021 AGM will be held on September 24-26, 2021, virtually on Zoom.
Some of you may be asking why MNBC is not holding the 2021 AGM in-person. While we were hopeful that the 2021 AGM could be held in-person, it was impossible to do for the following reasons:
- The funding MNBC received to hold the 2021 AGM in-person was re-allocated to MNBC Chartered Communities. With the health restrictions expected to be in place in September 2021, it was decided by the [MNBC Board of Directors] that this funding was better utilized in the hands of our Communities and Citizens.
- Provincial health restrictions must be in Step 4 to allow an in-person AGM. The earliest Step 4 restrictions will be applied in BC is September 7th. There is no guarantee that these restrictions will be lifted on this date, as they are contingent on COVID-19 case counts and vaccination rates. The staff time and resources required to plan an in-person events requires significant lead time that is not feasible under the current guidelines.

Motion from MNBC Board of Directors to have the AGM virtual can be found here.
We look forward to your attendance and participation at the 2021 AGM!
