Programs & Services
The goal of this program is to help Métis Citizens by offering to cover the expenses of up to 10, 60-minute counselling sessions for those with financial needs, to support them in their mental wellness journey.
We are once again accepting submissions to our health and wellness magazine, now titled Thriving Spirits: Métis Perspectives on Wellness. Previously titled Resilient Roots: Métis Mental Health and Wellness, this magazine captures the spirit, strength, and growth of the Métis People in BC.
Interested in making a submission for our next issue? In this fifth issue, we will focus on themes that highlight Métis leaders within our communities, stories that capture the wellness of Métis community members, and teachings from Métis Knowledge Holders. Click here to fill out the form. Please email Michelle at mpadley@mnbc.ca should you have any questions.
Wild Wisdom: Healing with Nature is a new mental health and wellness seasonal webinar series project being led by the Atooshkayahk Aansaamb chi Kiikayhk (Working Together to Heal) and Métis Youth Aansaamb ni Wiichihitonaan (We are Taking Care/Helping Together) committees. Through four virtual sessions held in the spring, summer, fall, and winter, Métis community members will have the opportunity to learn from Métis knowledge holders and engage in discussions about how mental health and connection to nature are connected.
