Métis Nation British Columbia President Clara Morin Dal Col and the Minister of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation Hon. John Rustad met last week in Vancouver to discuss various matters that the Province and MNBC are working on together on behalf of Métis people in British Columbia. They were updated on the progress underway regarding the Métis Nation Relationship Accord II which was signed by the Province and MNBC in November last year. Officials from both MNBC and the Province are closely collaborating on the Workplan for 2017/18 to ensure tangible progress leads to positive results in the first year.

President Morin Dal Col and Minister Rustad also discussed the establishment of the new Métis Nation BC Capital Corporation and how the new arms-length Corporation will assist Métis businesses and future Métis entrepreneurs.

“We have a very good working relationship with the Minister, and meetings such as this are valuable in ensuring the Minister is kept apprised of matters and issues on behalf of Métis people in British Columbia”, said President Morin Dal Col.
