Experiential Learning Miyomahcihô: The Person is in Good Health is a collaborative initiative involving Métis Knowledge Carrier Lisa Shepherd, Fraser Health, and MNBC. This program offers a unique educational approach that integrates traditional Métis knowledge and practices with contemporary learning methods. Emphasizing hands-on experiences and cultural immersion it allows learners to connect deeply with Métis values through the perspective of a Métis Nation BC Citizen. Through activities such as storytelling and traditional crafts, participants gain a profound understanding of Métis culture. This approach not only enriches the educational experience but also fosters a strong sense of identity and community among learners, enhancing their understanding of the uniqueness and experiences of the Métis in BC.
