Industry Engagement & Partnerships

Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) believes in creating opportunities and social prosperity for Métis people in British Columbia. This is accomplished through partnerships with  government, industry and business. The Métis have always been entrepreneurs and their role in the fur trade established them as leaders and innovators.

Métis people in B.C and Canada continue to strive for a better life for their families and communities and continually pursue opportunities that can provide this. Engagement with industry and becoming involved in industrial development is part of this endeavor and partnerships with organizations such as Enbridge and TransCanada are key to accomplishing common goals.

Industrial development is expanding in B.C. and this development will have an impact on all Métis Chartered communities in the province. There all several new mines opening and existing mines expanding due to the high price of various metals. It is important that all Métis community members are provided with information about these projects and consulted about their potential impact.

MNBC believes in building partnerships with industry and accessing benefits for Métis communities. Jobs and training programs are key to social prosperity and MNBC's  partnerships with government and industry are the foundation to success.
